Heavy duty spring retainers made from chromemoly steel

Impulse valve spring retainers are made from heavy duty chromemoly steel to handle the high loads placed on the valve train by supercharged engines. The valve spring retainer is machined to correctly fit the Impulse single valve springs. However, single valve springs with a slightly larger ID than 1.010" may be used with this retainer.

The spring retainers are zinc plated gold instead of black which has no bearing on the strength of the retainer.
