Modified 4BBL Edelbrock Carburetor
Carburetor is fitted with the correct needles, jets and vacuum springs and modified with the NPS secondary air valve weights and booster reducers to work with Negative Pressure Supercharging
NOTE
4BBL Edelbrock performer carburetors and parts are the SAME as 4BBL AFB Carter carburetors. Therefore, the parts below may also be fitted to 4BBL AFB Carter carburetors.
Correct size needles and jets optimise...
Full throttle air fuel mixture at 12.5 ? 13.5 for maximum power and faster acceleration
Part throttle air fuel mixture at 14.5 ? 14.8 for maximum fuel economy and low emissions
Heavy vacuum springs
Maintain the optimum air fuel mixture during part throttle and light acceleration with the higher vacuum produced by NPS.
NPS heavy secondary air valve weights
Produce the optimum opening rate with the higher vacuum produced by NPS for faster acceleration and prevent the higher vacuum from flicking open the secondary air valve and stalling the engine during full throttle.
NPS booster reducers (needed with only some stages)
Reduce the size of the carburetor to the optimum cfm and produce a higher air speed through the carburetor for faster acceleration from idle to peak rpm.
