Distributor Advance Springs

Optimises spark advance to maximise power and prevent pre-ignition (pinging) with Negative Pressure Supercharging and hot air induction

Negative Supercharging advance springs fit ONLY 1957-91 Chrysler made points or electronic distributors
Negative Supercharging advance springs produce a unique advance curve that gradually increases the ignition timing from idle to peak rpm. This maximises power and prevents pre-ignition (pinging) with the ultra fast burn produced by Negative Pressure Supercharging and hot air induction. The advance springs fit ONLY Chrysler made points or electronic distributors.

Therefore, compare the photos of the Chrysler made distributor and advance weights to your distributor and select one of the following options.

If your Chrysler distributor and advance weights are...

A) SAME as shown in photos and distributor is in good working condition.
OPTION 1: Fit the Negative Supercharging advance springs supplied with the Negative Supercharging Kit or Impulse Crate Engine to the Chrysler made distributor.

B) SAME as shown in photos but distributor is worn and needs to be rebuilt
Send us your distributor and we will supply you a new Mopar distributor. For more details see OPTION 2: New Mopar Electronic Distributor - Upgraded with early Chrysler heavy advance weight and shaft assembly and fitted with Negative Supercharging advance springs.

WARNING: DO NOT use remanufactured electronic distributors

C) NOT the same as shown in photos
It will need to be recurved to the Negative Supercharging advance curve. For more details see OPTION 3: Recurve your distributor to Negative Supercharging advance curve.
