  4 x EV16 Mufflers

Impulse EV8 muffler produces 600°C (1100°F) and works only in front of the catalytic converter with vehicles that use carburetion, fuel injection or gas. Therefore, the hotter running EV16 and EV164 mufflers should not be used on vehicles fitted with a catalytic converter as they will overheat and damage the converter.   Impulse EV16 and EV164 mufflers produce 800°C (1500°F) and work in any part of the exhaust system with NON-catalytic converter vehicles that use carburetion, fuel injection, gas or diesel. However, the closer the EV16 and EV164 mufflers are fitted to the engine the more effective they are at reducing toxic emissions.

NOTE
EV164 muffler uses 4 x EV16 mufflers built into 1 muffler
Using either 1 long EV164 muffler or 4 short EV16 mufflers per side produces the same results. However, the short EV16 muffler allows more mufflers to be fitted to any part of the exhaust system to further reduce toxic emissions, increase power or reduce noise

History
We developed the Impulse EV muffler in 2006 as a compact performance muffler that has the same size as a typical hot dog (cherry bomb) muffler but produces less exhaust noise and more power than straight through mufflers with large housings. However, the unique core design of the EV muffler was a breakthrough in pollution control technology because it also reduces toxic emissions to near zero. Therefore, we are currently working to introduce the Impulse EV muffler for all vehicles, factories and engines and substantially reduce global pollution.
